It’s March 15th,
The sun is out longer,
The sky is blue.
The daffodils are popping up,
From their winter slumber,
Buds are on the trees.
The geese have returned,
Along with other birds,
Standing on ice.
How can there still be snow?
How can there be ice on the pond?
It’s March 15th.
Your poem is perfect for today’s slice. The last stanza made me smile – oh, how March can be deceiving.

I am right there with you! Today we had the coldest temperatures of the year so far in Ohio. How is this possible?
